The University of South Wales Women’s 1st side will look to continue their recent good form as they kick off their cup campaign at home to UWE on Wednesday afternoon.
The two sides go into the game in contrasting form. USW have registered back-to-back victories for the first time this season, with a 5-0 win away to Southampton Solvent and a 7-0 thrashing of UWE in their last two outings.
Their opposition however, have fallen out of form slightly over the last few weeks. Having started the season brightly with two victories from their first two games, the Bristol-based side have suffered defeats in their last three matches, including that crushing 7-0 defeat in the same fixture two weeks ago.
USW will hope that striker Chloe Lloyd is able to replicate her performance from that game, having grabbed a hat trick the last time the two sides met.
The home side will also look for a big performance from Cardiff City Ladies midfielder Ffion Price, with her game key to victory and progression to the last 16.
