CARDIFF Blues are set to debut two new players this Sunday. Stacey Horne and Georgia Evans, who currently play for Pontyclun and the University of South Wales, join fellow team-mate Heather Rees in representing the Blues in a regional clash with the Ospreys.
The debuts come after an announcement made in December from the Cardiff Blues Twitter feed congratulating the two for the call-up.
Congratulations to players Stacey Horne & Georgia Evans (both Pontyclun) for making the Senior Squad come January.

After impressing for USW and Pontyclun in recent months, the opportunity to trial for the Blues came to fruition. USW Captain, Freya Jones, is also training with the team with the potential of getting in to the first side.
Mark Hutton, Regional Coordinator for the Blues and USW coach, explained why the Blues came calling.
“Coaching the girls [at USW] gives another set of eyes when looking towards the Blues set-up. I highlighted the players to the coaching staff. Both have stood out when playing for the University.
“Stacey was part of the Blues some years ago and has come back into the frame. As a forward, this was a position that was in need, with her experience, it made sense to bring Stacey back in the fold.
“Georgia has loads of potential and really good attributes. She has been playing outstanding rugby for the University and really impressed with a recent friendly against the Scarlets.”
With the game at Sardis Road on Sunday, all eyes will be on the new acquisitions.
Cardiff Blues are currently third in the regional league having defeated Newport Gwent Dragons 38-12.
Cardiff will be looking to extend their run to two wins no losses with victory over the Ospreys.
