Lucy McDonough’s attacking brilliance can fire USW to glory this season
Lucy McDonough is continually proving her worth to this revamped University of South Wales Women’s 1st side. She notched yet another hat-trick against University of Exeter Women’s 1st, a feat that she achieved on the opening day of the season against current table toppers Southampton Solent University Women’s 1st. If the tricky forward can maintain her attacking prowess as the season progresses, USW should feel confident that they can mount a serious challenge this season.
USW have made the Sport Park a fortress thus far
USW’s home form has been flawless thus far, they have recorded two emphatic victories at the USW Sport Park whereby they’ve netted 14 goals and conceded just two – to Southampton Solent University, on the opening day of the season.
If USW can continue to make the Sport Park a tough place to come for visitors, there is every possibility that they will be fighting for silverware come the conclusion of the season.
USW will go to league leader’s Southampton Solent full of confidence next matchday following Exeter triumph
USW travel to table toppers Southampton Solent University on Wednesday 14th November, and they can go into the clash full of optimism following the 9-0 triumph over Exeter.
USW will also take confidence from the victory that they recorded over Southampton Solent back in October, especially with the fixture being the only game that Southampton Solent have failed to win since the beginning of the season.
