ORIGINATING from Lafayette, Colorado, the powerful American centre back is quickly becoming the backbone of the USW Women’s team.
Strong in the air and quick across the field, Danielle Dageenakis is going to be trouble for any striker.
With two clean sheets on the bounce, the USW defence is looking strong. Having conceded just one goal in their last three games, the team will be looking to keep it that way when they play Oxford 1st tomorrow.
Not only was Dageenakis solid at the back against Southampton Solent University last week but she also provides the team a passing option at the back.
She is confident on the ball and remains composed under pressure, allowing her to find the right pass.
The humble centre-half plays exclusively in the BUCS League but with her ever-improving performances it may well be that a Welsh Premier League side will be looking to acquire her services.
