THIS week’s fixture sees USW Women’s 1st welcome Hartpury Women’s 1st to the Sport Park in the last 16 of the BUCS Football 2018-2019 Trophy.

USW will be looking to replicate last week’s league win over Hartpury, (3-2), to this time reach the quarter finals of the cup.

This will be the third game in a row Kaseem Taylor’s team face off against Hartpury, and to come out of the three games with three wins would be a great achievement.

USW are playing amongst teams such as Bournemouth 1st, Bristol 1st and Nottingham 1st in the last 16 stage of the competition and will be confident heading into the quarter final stage should they get past Hartpury today.

Elsewhere, USW’s league prospects have picked up after last week’s win. Bournemouth lost 1-2 to Southampton Solent, which has opened the league up for the taking.

Bristol 1st currently sit top, only above USW on goal difference; Bournemouth dropped into third just one point behind and Southampton Solent in fourth are four points behind USW, but with a game in hand.

This sets up a grandstand finish in the Western 1A League and each team will be looking to come out on top.
