UNIVERSITY of South Wales Women’s 1st will seek to put last week’s loss behind them as they travel south to face Bournemouth Ladies 1st.
USW’s season didn’t begin as they would have liked it to last Wednesday after they were on the wrong side of a 4-1 scoreline against Hartpury 1st.
Bournemouth were also defeated 4-1 in their opener at the hands of Plymouth Marjon 1st.
When both of these sides clashed last season, Bournemouth finished out on top over the two fixtures.
The Seasiders were victorious on home turf in what was an enthralling 5-4 win over the South Walians.
The reverse fixture then saw Bournemouth come away from Treforest with another three points by winning 2-0 at the USW Sport Park.
Despite the loss last week, USW’s new coach Kath Morgan is remaining positive.
“It was a disappointing result last week, however some factors were out of our control,” said Morgan.
“We welcome a full squad this week and we are confident we can kick start our season at Bournemouth.”
Kick off on the south coast is at 14:00.
