USW Women’s Rugby 1st will be hoping to follow up their impressive win over Gloucestershire when they welcome Bournemouth to the Sport Park.
The Welsh side came back from being 12-5 down at half-time to win a tight encounter 20-17.
USW coach Mark Hutton believes the result was huge for his side.
“It has created a lot of confidence knowing that we can still score and win games right up to the last five minutes of a game.
“It has created a lot of self-belief and driven everyone to work hard last night in training”
This was the home side’s first win of the season, after their opening encounter ended up a 24-15 loss to Southampton.
Hutton also praised the togetherness of the team.
“Alongside a structured training session, the team all came together last night to review last week’s game and areas highlighted for things that could have been done differently. Everyone is in confident mood ahead of tomorrow.”
Bournemouth also come into this match with one win and one defeat.
Their opening match ended in a thumping 84-14 loss to Cardiff Met Women’s 2nd. However, a tight 25-24 victory over Southampton Women’s 1st last week will certainly give the English side confidence that they can take home a victory.
Kick-off is at 14:00.
