CALLUM McGarry’s USW 4th side are hoping to get their first win of the season as they travel to Gloucester in the cup.

After failing to pick up a win in their first three games of the campaign the team will be hoping for better fortune against a home side who have only won once in three games.

It may seem like its all doom and gloom for the travelling outfit but this doesn’t reflect their performances accurately. A valiant and exciting display saw them come off second best against a strong USW 3rd team.

In that particular clash the 4th team didn’t play like they were inferior to the 3rds and pushed them right to the wire.
If you accompany this with a narrow defeat and a draw to Cardiff University 4th and Hartpury 3rd respectively, there is real scope for some positive results.

Coach McGarry is relishing the opportunity. He said: “We are looking forward to the challenge that facing a second team will inevitably bring. We have been training hard for two weeks looking at different systems and we are confident we can claim our first win of the season.”

The USW team are unaffected by injuries but Ryan Quinn remains side-lined through suspension.
