WALES attacking midfielder Harry Wilson has said that the squad is excited to have Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey back playing together.
Ryan Giggs’ side face a trip to Azerbaijan on Saturday and then return to Cardiff on Tuesday, as they welcome Hungary in their final qualifiers which will determine whether the Dragon’s will be play at Euro 2020.
A win in both games would guarantee Wales a place at Euro 2020 and the youngster says that having Bale and Ramsey will boost the squad saying: “It’s exciting for the whole team because they work extremely hard on and off the ball,” Wilson said.
“To have Ramsey back, who hasn’t played in this campaign yet is definitely going to be a boost for us.
“He (Gareth Bale) is in good spirits, he looks sharp and I’m sure when the games come around, he will be raring to go.
With Wales’ qualification hopes on the line this Saturday the 22-year-old stated how much it would mean to him to make it to the Euros.
“It would mean everything to me. Going out to France in 2016 was massive and I was there stood in the crowd and I wanted to be part of that as a player.
“Now that I have the opportunity to do that, I’m desperate to make sure we get over the line.
The Bournemouth youngster believes that there is no reason why the current side can’t mimic the European success that Wales had in 2016.
“We definitely have the quality and we have a great mixture of youth and experience in this team.
“I think that if we win these two games and get to the Euros we can do really well.
“Last time (at Euro 2016) we more than exceeded expectation, so maybe if we do qualify this time, we are going to go there with a bit more expected of us because of how well the lads done.
“That’s something we will take on and hopefully match it.”
