WALES qualified for their second consecutive European Championship campaign with an outstanding victory over Hungary in Cardiff.
A double from the returning Aaron Ramsey, who started in a Welsh shirt for the first time in a competivive fixture since last November, was enough to send his side to the Euro finals next summer.
The defeat for Hungary on the other hand means they are out of contention all together with Slovakia claiming the coveted third spot in the group after beating Azerbaijan 2-0.

Wales’ start to the game matched the ferocity of their supporters as Ryan Giggs’ men shot out of the blocks from the first whistle, and it was only a matter of time before they showed their early dominance on the scoreboard.
Connor Roberts managed to pick out Gareth Bale on the right wing and the Real Madrid star cut back on his more favourable left foot before delivering a great ball into Ramsey who headed his first Welsh goal since June 2018.
More chances came Wales’ way as the half wore on, and with Hungary committing players up field, a huge chance fell the way of Kieffer Moore whose header from Bale’s cross could have ended the game with 10-minutes left of the first half.
Hungary didn’t go away quietly though as both Dominik Szoboszlai and Roland Sallai forced an incredible double stop from Wayne Hennessey, who kept Marco Rossi’s team at bay moments before the break.
Just two-minutes into the second half, Wales found themselves in dreamland as Hungary failed to deal with Ben Davies’ delivery into the area with the ball falling to Ramsey who doubled the Welsh lead from no more than four-yards.
Things could have got much worse for the Hungarians as both Bale and James saw shots from range go just past the post with the away side in dire straits.
Wales comfortably hung on for the 2-0 victory as the golden era of Welsh football continues.
