Swiftly after his appointment, Mourinho began to assemble his coaching staff. The two-time Champions League winner opted to look to someone who plied their trade at USW Sport Park.
Sacramento, 29, did his undergraduate degree in sports coaching and went on to get a masters in performance coaching at what was then the University of Glamorgan.
During his time in Wales, he was able to obtain a performance analyst role with the Welsh national football team, working under Gary Speed and Chris Coleman.
Sacramento’s coaching exploits earned him a move to French giants Monaco, before moving to Lille – a side he managed on a caretaker basis. He also worked with current Leeds Manager Marcelo Bielsa.
