USW coach Ferne Burrage believes the hard work her side have put in during training is seeing results.
USW Women’s 2nd cruised to a 2-0 home win against Gloucester Women’s 2nd, with Burrage commending the hard work her players are putting in on the training ground.
“We’ve been working very hard in training over the last few weeks and we’ve been frustrated by lack of fixtures,” she said.
“But to get the game played today and play in the manner that we did I’m really pleased with the girls.
“A huge task for the first half was to stay organised, stay disciplined and not concede. We knew they’d set up differently and be a completely different team to the one we played and beat away from home. So, we were delighted to get the goal just before half time as it really settled us and put us in a good position.”

Burrage was pleased with her player’s ability to bounce back following a heavy defeat to Swansea University in the cup last week.
“We’re not going to do anything differently in next weeks’ game just more of the same, but this will give us more confidence going into it. We had a tough defeat in the cup last week and to bounce back from that really shows the girls’ character.”
