THE new 3G pitch at the USW Sport Park at Treforest is almost ready to welcome visitors.
The 270-seater stand along with the new artificial pitch is close to completion and will be ready for use this weekend.
The new pitch has been in the works for many months now and with the opening just around the corner, it will bring a new dynamism to the already industrial-feel to USW Sport Park.
USW students and teams will get to play on the pitch alongside sides like Pontypridd Town and Cyncoed Ladies. The University is confident the new facility will have a big impact on community engagement and mean even more people using the facilities in an increasingly professional environment.
Head of Sport Steve Savage explained the impact the pitch and facilities will have.
