USW could clinch promotion with a victory against Gloucestershire University at the USW Sport Park.

Rob Bailey’s side, who sit atop of the Men’s Western Tier 4 table ahead of the game, need only one win from their remaining two games to progress to the higher division.

Last time out, USW put four past Hartpury University Men’s 3rd away from home to set up this season’s defining match at the Sport Park.

Bailey has heaped praise on his players ahead of the crucial tie.

“I’m really pleased for the players that their hard work is being rewarded with points that put us in a great position,” he said.

Last season, USW missed out on promotion by a single point. Bailey has said his team have been doing extensive work on the training ground and on Gloucestershire to ensure they don’t miss out this time around.

“We have done extensive work in our analysis meetings on Gloucester, which has transferred into some good training sessions designed specifically to exploit their weaknesses and counter their threats.”

USW have had two weeks to prepare for this game and will be close to having a full strength squad for the crucial game at the Sport Park.

With the prize of promotion in sight it promises to be a great contest.
