CARDIFF City are looking to prevent their sixth consecutive loss in all competitions as they host strugglers Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship.
Despite the Bluebirds only managing to pick up one win in their last six league appearances, they still sit five points above tonight’s opposition.
This adds to the huge pressure that Neil Harris finds himself under, with City fans increasingly calling for his head as losses continue to follow.
But Cardiff will have new signings Perry Ng and Max Watters in their armoury as they look to alter their run of form and strengthen their leaky defence.
“Getting Perry and Max into the building over the past 72 hours or so has been brilliant for us,” Cardiff boss Neil Harris said.
“I think both players have really bright futures and it’s great that we’ve been able to bring them to the club.
“We never envisaged being without Jordi Osei-Tutu for four months, nor the injuries we’ve had at centre half.
“To bring a right back in was the main aim of the window and getting Perry here has been key for us.
“We are getting a good character, somebody who was club captain at Crewe at the age of 23.
“He has voice, presence and personality and has played a lot of league football.
“With him and Max on board and players coming back from injury, we’re going to be able to have a more settled side.”
Last time out, the Bluebirds fell to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Norwich City, with Marlon Pack taking an early bath to add to the miseries.
Whereas QPR managed to pull off a shock win against Luton Town as Charlie Austin netted in his first game since returning to west London.
A QPR win would mean they are only two points behind Cardiff, bringing a sense of security to the R’s, and dragging Cardiff into an undesirable relegation battle.
And there will be a return of an old friend for Cardiff as Albert Adomah returns to the Welsh capital after appearing on loan last season. He looks to set friendships aside and grab the victory for the visitors.
