Chris created a video piece for YouTube channel TotalSport, where he explained the capital club’s unique story of relentlessness, unity, and development.
The aspiring sports journalist says the club’s unique story is what drew his attention to the story.
“I think just finding out about Union itself back in the first lockdown made me always interested in making a piece of content about them. The research put into the video only made me admire them more.”
With Chris displaying an array of journalistic skills when creating the piece from its inception to final product, he believes his multimedia skillet does not provide him with an advantage over other young, aspiring sports journalists.
“I hope it gives me another string to my bow, but I know a lot of people are very knowledgeable so I wouldn’t say it gives any advantage.”
The first year believes the course has helped him to develop his nose for a story, due to the practical responsibilities and opportunities it provides.
“The course has helped as it simply gets you writing and creating – the more you do, the better you get!”
