FOR the last few years, sports journalism students from the University of South Wales have produced excellent content from all the action at the Sport Park in Treforest.
The main stories have came from teams competing in the BUCS leagues.
Steve Savage, who previously coached the men’s 1st side to a league and cup triumph, has been really impressed with the students over the years.
“The support from our sport journalism students, who cover a number of teams, club and sporting activities delivered at the Sport Park is excellent,” said Savage.
“Reporting on matches and events helps to raise the profile of USW Sport and showcases the great work of our students in positively impacting our community & key stakeholders.”
Savage is now Head of Sport at the university. He believes it is vital that the fantastic relationship continues.
“The relationship between the sports journalism course & USW Sport is excellent and I hope we can continue to grow the partnership.”
With the ongoing challenges that Covid 19 has presented, sports journalism students haven’t been able to continue their work at the Sport Park this year.
