Towards the end of the first quarter, USW goal shooter Alice Forde scored three points to end the first quarter 6-4 to the visitors.
Despite a quarter which felt dominated by Aberystwyth, the game looked like it was setting up to be a close encounter.
USW grabbed the first point of the second quarter when Cady scored from the first attack of the quarter to be within only a point of Aberystwyth.
After another point was scored from both sides, it was Aberystwyth who took charge of the game and stormed into a 13-6 lead by the end of the second quarter.
The second quarter saw Hanson-Barratt add three more points to her tally to be Aberystwyth’s creative spark, Rumney also grabbed another point as the away side began to dominate.
The third quarter started as the second quarter ended with Hanson-Barratt continuing to stack the points for Aberystwyth, which included scoring three points in under a minute to end the half 23-9.
Ahead of the final quarter a victory was all but certain but that didn’t mean Aberystwyth were going to take their foot off the gas as they marched into 31-9 lead.
The points were scored from Hanson-Barratt and Rumney, who proved to be a good partnership upfront for the visitors.
The game was then closed off by a point scored from Forde and Cady to take the points tally for USW over double digits.
