UNIVERSITY of South Wales netball seconds romped to a 53-14 victory against Solent University at the Sport Park.

It was a ruthless display by the hosts, who never let up despite dominating virtually from start to finish.

USW started out slowly in comparison to the pace and power they showcased throughout the rest of the game.

But midway through the first quarter and into the second is they switched on and never looked back, scoring 18 points against a solemn Solent.

The red wave of USW kept breaking into the Solent danger zone and midway through the third quarter had established a 22-8 lead.

By the end of the third quarter USW had completely run away with it, leading 34-12 and barely looking fatigued at all.

The final quarter of the game saw USW run riot with a demoralised looking Solent looking completely lost.

It was a confidence-boosting outing for USW that bodes well for the rest of their campaign.
