A dominant display from USW’s 2s saw them make a well-deserved 56-21 victory against Aberystwyth 2nds.
USW started the game with a plethora of organised and fluid attacks, mixed with some rapid passing moves, seeing them take an early double-digit lead.
USW goal attack Nat Mackay and goal shooter Madi Neye looked clinical from early on and this was a common trend throughout the contest.
Aberystwyth tried to battle their way back into the game but USW’s fast break-speed proved just too difficult to defend against for the away side.
USW’s dominance continued throughout the second half.
They never let up their attacking relentlessness, showing their class and quality at both ends of the court.
Goalkeeper Eva Wells looked unbeatable at the back of the defence, grabbing plenty of rebounds and distributing well to her teammates.
The away side mustered a late fourth-quarter push, scoring 11 points and holding USW to only five, however this proved too little too late as the home side cruised to a comfortable victory.
This result should boost USW confidence following their 30-42 defeat at the hands of Aberystwyth 1sts last week, and also serve them well for their fixture against Carmarthen in Western Tier Six on November 30.
