TEN-man USW were hammered by unbeaten Bath at the Sport Park, a red card for striker Rhyse Hudson at the end of the first-half sealing their fate.

USW started well and took the lead in the 14th minute through Adam Kaplan, who coolly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner.

Bath quickly equalised through captain Joe O’Loughlin in the 23rd minute, who latched onto a lovely through ball and clinically found the left corner.

In the 30th minute Bath went ahead through Josh Crispin who leapt above everyone in the box to head home.

Bath continued their dominance and O’Loughlin added to his first goal with a calm finish into the left corner in the 34th minute.

Just three minutes after the captain’s second goal, Bath striker Sam Meakes rose to head in from a well delivered corner.

Hudson saw red for dissent just before half-time meaning any hopes USW had of launching a comeback were blown apart.

Bath took full advantage with further strikes coming in the 49th, 61st and a hat-trick goal from O’Loughlin in the 65th minute.

USW did manage to pull one goal back through Kamil Filarski, who tapped the ball into an empty net.

O’Loughlin added to the three goals he already had with an amazing lob from the edge of the box and soon after, striker Meakes scored his third and Bath’s 10th.

Bath continue their unbeaten run in the league and only need one more win in their next two games to win the league title.

USW will hope to bounce back away to Swansea University next week.
