A dominant display from Bristol saw them defeat University of South Wales 27-1 thanks to a flurry of goals from forward Beth Shah.
The Bristol superiority began in the very first minute when Shah opened the scoring by storming through the USW defence to make it 1-0.
It was followed by a quick-fire Phoebe Love hat-trick, with USW goalkeeper Chloe Summer powerless to stop it.
By the end of the first quarter, Shah had four goals to her name and there had also been strikes from Amy Cameron (2) and Amelie Taylor, with the USW defence cut to pieces.
The second quarter began with USW 10-1 in arrears and the pattern continued with Shah and Love on target, with maya Larkin and Amelie Jolly joining them on the scoresheet.
By the halfway mark Bristol had built up a 17-0 lead and it was pure damage limitation for the hosts by that stage.
Love, Emma Burnett and Shah continued to make hay in front of goal, giving Summer a torrid afternoon.
USW were able to find some chances of their own in the third quarter most of which came through the centre Amber Maddox-Moore. Her strong running resulted in a shot, but it was off target.
It was 22-0 to the visitors before USW finally managed a breakthrough of their own.
In the 44th minute USW’s Rachel Mayers, a defender by trade but playing in midfield because of injuries, ran the length of the pitch to give the home side something to cheer about.
The final quarter began the same way as the third. Burnet had a chance to make it 23-1 and showed no hesitation in doing so with her shot flying past the goalkeeper.
USW never gave up and Maddox-Moore came close to a second when she ran strongly past the Bristolian midfield before her shot was sent narrowly wide.
Despite the odd foray into Bristol territory, the away side continued to make it one-way traffic until the final whistle to ensure a chastening afternoon for USW.
