USW 2nds netball coach Megan Pilkington praised the “concentration and consistency” of her team after their 43-19 win against Hartpury 3rds.
It was an impressive and dominant display by the home side – and reward, says Pilkington, for hard work.
“We’re really focused and determined in our training sessions and I know the girls have a good bond together which really helps,” she said.
Pilkington reserved praise for prolific goal shooter Madi Neye, adding: “She got my coach’s player award today, her movement and spotting really helped the team.
“I really can’t fault her 100% shot conversion rate in the final quarter either.”
There were also words of praise for impressive centre Ela-Lee Webb.
“I’m really proud of her,” said Pilkington.
“Her transition from wing-back to centre has been so smooth. Although the role is similar there is a lot more to do and she did really well today.”
On the squad as a whole, Pilkington said: “There’s continuous focus with our concentration and consistency in our training and we’re going to keep it up.”
