USW 5ths manager Nicolas Stephanatos labelled his players “amazing” after they beat University of Gloucestershire 4ths 2-1 at the Sport Park.
Goals from Daniel Femi and David Nelson saw USW home in a hard-fought encounter.
Stephanatos said: “This group has been amazing, it’s a brilliant feeling for everyone.
“We fought hard, that’s how I’d sum it up, we showed lots of quality and that’s what we needed today.”
Ahead of the next game vs Bristol 6ths, Stephanatos said: “I watched Bristol play here against the 4th team and they were a very strong team. We have a lot of work to do before that game.”
“But there’s no game next week so it gives a chance for the lads to recover, going into our toughest game yet.”
