Briton Ferry were undone by a clinical Barry in a seven-goal thriller at Old Road.
Fantastic braces from strike-partners Ollie Hulbert and Ieuan Owen, and a hat-trick of assists from Owen Cuddihy, guided Andy Legg’s side to a well-fought win.
Victory leaves the visitors in seventh place in the Cymru Premier standings, while Ferry remain third from bottom, above the relegation zone only on goal difference.
Despite early pressure from Ferry, Barry took the lead when Hulbert latched onto a through-ball from Cuddihy, before slotting past keeper Will Fuller.
Soon after, Cuddihy delivered a fantastic cross which the on-rushing Owen deftly flicked past Fuller to give Barry a 2-0 lead.
In the 29th minute, Ferry clawed a goal back.
Jasper Payne flicked the ball up for Tom Walters to expertly drill home a volley from just outside the penalty area.
Both teams had more chances before half-time, the best coming from Kieran Williams who saw his improvised attempt tipped wide brilliantly by Barry keeper Liam Armstrong.
Barry started the second half stronger and a low cross from Owen allowed Hulbert, unmarked, to slot the ball into the bottom left corner.
Ten minutes after entering the field, substitutes Caleb Demery and Ruben Davies combined, with the latter glancing a header past Armstrong after a fantastic cross from Demery.
Ferry roared forward and, with two minutes to play, seemed to have got their reward when Williams powerfully headed home after a Ryan Bevan corner to level things at 3-3.
But the game was not done, and in added time Owen spared Barry’s blushes as he turned in an inviting corner from Cuddihy.
Both teams are in action this Tuesday, as Barry welcome Aberystwyth and Ferry host fellow-strugglers Newtown.
