ROB Bailey, boss of USW men’s 2nds, praised his players for “a 90-minute performance”, despite a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Aberystwyth University 1sts at the Sport Park.
A goal from Rhys Thomas threatened a USW comeback after the hosts went behind to two goals from Aber striker Pablo De Torres.
But the visitors claimed a late third via the penalty spot to seal the win.
Bailey though, was not too disheartened.
“It sounds crazy, but as a coach, results don’t matter to me,” he said.
“Our last couple of games, despite winning against Swansea, have been 60-minute and 70-minute performances. Today was a 90-minute performance.”
