Mark Harris was full of confidence following the Bluebird’s performances of late.
The 23-year-old Welshman netted his third goal of the season for the Bluebirds when he was substituted on with just 10 minutes left to play in Cardiff’s 2-0 win at home to Coventry on Tuesday..
Speaking after the game, Harris said he was happy to have got his opportunity and to have seized it despite the internal competition for striker places within the squad.
“There’s six of us [strikers in the first team squad], so it’s not going to be the same two [start] every week,” he said.
“You’ve got to take every opportunity you get with two hands.”
Harris added the team knows what the manager Steve Morrison wants and the standards he demands.
“We have to go out there and set those standards,” he said.
On a personal note he said that “as long as we’re winning games and I’m scoring goals, I’m happy”.
