USW 2nds target-man Jack Woodhams was left “devastated” after Cardiff Met fought back for a controversial last minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw.
Woodhams’ equaliser in the final quarter sparked a frenetic finish after Met had led through Morgan Allot’s strike.
Harri Jones thought he’d won it for the hosts with a second in the dying minutes, only for Henry Wall to snatch the leveller.
“The first half we just didn’t get our heads up enough” said Woodhams.
“The second half we are really pleased with as it’s easy to fall asleep in those sorts of stalemate games”.
Woodhams suggested the Met equaliser should not have stood.
“We understand the ref only has one pair of eyes, but it’s a clear handball in the build up,: he said.
“Our lads are devastated.
“Ultimately ,it’s a hard lesson learnt, we can’t be switching off. We have to keep going to the final whistle.”
