Goals from Lucy Peppard and Issie Wilson increased USW 1sts’ winless streak to three games.
Peppard claimed UWE’s first goal of the encounter in the third minute , slotting a penalty past Pheobe Jones-Murray in the USW goal.
The away side extended their lead in the 20th minute when Wilson converted a deflected shot that fell into her path.
USW improved in the second half with a chance created from a penalty corner being put wide by Leah Goodall in the 38th minute.
UWE looked to defend their lead by staying on the front foot, creating multiple chances throughout the second half.
Their biggest chance came from a penalty corner in the 61st minute, when they were denied their third goal by Jones-Murray.
USW’s valiant efforts went unrewarded, and their third league defeat in a row sees them sit bottom of the ICG Western Tier 3 table without a goal so far this season.
USW will look to improve their form when they travel to Southampton 2nds on November 6.
