USW 3rds captain Roxy Williams gave an honest appraisal of her side after a 50-24 defeat to Royal Agricultural College.
Williams said her team’s centre passing was a stand-out positive, but admitted on-court communication needs to be better.
Williams said: “Our centre passes, normally they’re always going to the goal defence and wing defence but today we managed to get the balls into the attacks and wing attacks.
“Our movement in the circle, goal-shoot and goal-attack, that’s definitely improved from last week.”
Williams said improved communication will aid the team’s development.
“Communication was a big thing; we were really quiet on the court today,” she added.
“But also, our defence need to talk to together because they’re both going up for the rebounds.”
USW 3rds face USW 2nds in their next game on the November 27.
