THE Women and Sport Conference team held an information stall for students at the USW Cardiff Campus this Wednesday, showcasing the event to be held in Treforest on January 16.

Organised by BA Sports Journalism students, the conference will feature high profile speakers such as Wales Women’s manager Jayne Ludlow and the side’s all-time leading goal scorer Helen Ward.

The event will look to break down the barriers in sport and sports media, asking what needs to be done to give women and girls the tools to smash through the glass ceiling.

The stall featured information surrounding the day, with posters and guest profiles available for those interested in finding out about the conference.

With more guest speakers to be announced in the upcoming weeks, the conference will also be looking to encourage more women into sports and sports media roles.

The Women and Sport conference will be held at the USW sport park in Treforest, on the 16th January 2019. The event will be held between 10am – 4pm, for more information or to register your interest in attending, select the Eventbrite page here.
