TV AND radio presenter Fran Donovan talks about the determination to succeed and going the extra mile as a woman working in sports journalism.
A freelance broadcaster, she works for a range of media outlets covering everything from Premier League football on television to radio phone-in programmes.
She recently finished filming a series about rescue dogs for BBC Wales.
She knew she wanted to be a journalist from an early age, but says when she started her career in broadcasting the landscape wasn’t easy to navigate.
She believes that women of her generation worked hard to carve out a career and she is confident that things are different for those looking to break through today.
