It is a clash between David and Goliath as University of South Wales Men’s 4th team face an away trip to Cardiff University 5th in the Western 5B League.
The away side go into the derby game as heavy favourites because they sit top of the league on thirteen points, whereas the home team sit bottom on one point, with a game in hand.
Cardiff University were promoted last season. When the two sides met at the beginning of the season they drew 0-0 and those are the only points to be taken off the Sport Park side so far.
USW will look to continue their unbeaten run of five matches with victory over their rivals in their sixth game of the campaign. USW won last week’s derby game against Swansea University 6-2, while Cardiff University lost 5-4 away to second-bottom in the league, Gloucester University.
The USW side enthused with freshers’ talent, already look favourites to win the league as they sit four points ahead of Swansea University 4th who couldn’t come close to the leaders last week.
Joshua Liddiard’s team will stay top of the league despite the result tomorrow, however they will be determined to win.
