MANCHESTER United legend and former Wales international Ryan Giggs has been interviewed for the vacant managers’ job.
Giggs has been considered as one of the key candidates, alongside former team-mate Craig Bellamy and Wales’ technical director Osian Roberts.
Former Stoke assistant manager Mark Bowen is also reported to be a surprise last minute inclusion. Bowen spent the majority of his career as number two to Mark Hughes, so he is no stranger to the FAW set up, having been assistant to Hughes when he was in charge of the national side.

Wales have been on the lookout for a new manager following the departure of Chris Coleman in November. Coleman makes his return to the Cardiff City Stadium today when he takes his Sunderland side to face promotion-chasing Bluebirds.
The FAW’s preference has been to appoint a Welsh manager, after seeing the Cardiff City Stadium filled to capacity during Wales’ World Cup qualifying campaign.
Whoever is appointed as the next Wales manager will not only have the task of winning the backing of the committee at the Football Association of Wales, but also needs the seal of approval from the passionate Wales fans.
That is something Giggs might find difficult, with many Wales fans questioning his commitment to the national side because of the number of friendlies he missed as a player.
Have Bellamy/Roberts partnership. @FAWales need evolution, not revolution. Giggs may come in and change too much, whereas Bellamy/Roberts have been part of the Welsh setup for a while.

Osian has for a number of years been part of a very successful set up. By all accounts, his role in that success was instrumental.

Ryan Giggs is on the odds-on favourite by Oddschecker, with William Hill offering 4/9 for the 13-time Premier League winner, whilst Craig Bellamy is ranked second.
