FOLLOWING an impressive victory against Swansea 3rd, USW 2nd will be looking for two wins in two as they face Cardiff Met 4th.

The Treforest based side struggled for goals last season, but with a 5-1 victory against their South Wales neighbours’ last time out, they will be looking to maintain this attacking form.

USW found themselves 3-0 up at halftime and were able to see their comfortable win through.

The red and whites conceded late on, but the damage was already done.

The home side were also victorious in their last game as they narrowly secured a 3-2 victory, at home, to another Cardiff based team; Cardiff University 3rd.

Both teams picked up wins in their first games of the season and will be wanting to keep that form going.

USW’s assistant coach, James McElvenny, said he was encouraged by the togetherness on display so far.

“There’s no limit to where we can go as a team, we’re all here to earn promotion.

“The squad, this team, feels like a team that wants to play for each other and that’s going to be crucial when the tough games come.

“We’ve been incredibly pleased with how the team is developing; the lads’ attitudes have been nothing less than professional.”

Kick-off is at 13:00.
