UNIVERSITY of South Wales 2nd are seeking to return to winning ways as they welcome Winchester 3rd to the USW Sport Park.
USW earned themselves a narrow victory on the opening day of the new season against Bath Spa 2nd, but they were defeated last week on their travels against University of Gloucestershire 4th.
Meanwhile, their opponents Winchester 3rd are still searching for their first three points of the season.
They were beaten substantially by Southampton Solent 2nd by a 52-15 scoreline and then they were thrashed 63-30 versus AECC 1st.
Despite last week’s loss, USW captain Kelly Nicol is confident that they can deliver a winning performance.
“We had a difficult game last week against Gloucestershire and it was a game that we learnt alot from,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to seeing if we have taken on board the lessons we learnt and implement them in tomorrow’s match against Winchester.
“We are starting to click as a team and I’m positive that we will be able to get a result.”
Sophie Donaldson is the only player unavailable for the encounter through injury.
The match gets underway at 14:30.
