USW Women’s Rugby 1st will be hoping to continue their good form as they take on an unbeaten Cardiff Met 2nd side.
Cardiff Met have opened their campaign with a hat-trick of victories. In their first game, they romped to a whopping 84-14 win over Bournemouth.
They then went on to defeat Bath in a tight game before winning convincingly against Gloucester.
USW on the other hand lost their first game of season but have since won their two following games.
Despite Met coming into the clash as slight favourites, USW captain Keely Ward is unfazed by the challenge. Ward said, “Cardiff will challenge us in many areas but training has been very positive and the girls have come a long way”
She added: “We are coming in off two wins and it’s clear to see the confidence has risen and it’s exactly what we needed.”
When asked how she feels the teams season is shaping up, Ward said, “It was disappointing to lose the first game of the season. We have used this game as a learning curve and have used it to drive us as a team to perform better.”
