WESTERN 5B League action returns as University of South Wales 4th host Cardiff Metropolitan University 5th in a highly-anticipated derby fixture.

The home side go into the game as heavy favourites because they sit top of the league on sixteen points, whereas the away team sit fourth on eight points.

The rival sides last met in October 2017, when USW came back from two goals down to win 4-2 away to Cardiff Met.

The hosts will look to continue their unbeaten run of six matches with victory in their seventh game of the campaign.  USW won their last league game 2-1 away to their bottom-of-the-table rivals, Cardiff University 5th, while Cardiff Met drew 1-1 at home to third-place, Swansea University 4th.

The USW side enthused with fresher talent, already look favourites to win the league going into their final four games, as they sit seven points ahead of second-place, University of Wales Trinity St David Swansea 1st.

Joshua Liddiard’s team will stay top of the league despite the result, however they will be determined to win.
