THE University of South Wales Women’s 1st host table-toppers Bristol University 4th in a match which has a significant bearing on the Western 3B title.

USW will be brimming with confidence, having secured a 34-21 victory over third-placed Cardiff Metropolitan University 3rd last week. A result which has given them a five-point gap over the last place.
Goal attack, Emma Roberts continued her impressive goal scoring return, netting on several occasions last week, with USW leading in each quarter.
Emma Roberts, Agie Farlow, Freya Sopher, Lily Lloyd-West, Ellie Nota, Megan Baker Rees, Sophie Powell, Izzy Chilcott, Georgia Brookes and Ffion Gwillim were all involved in the victory and USW are expected to name the same side going into the match.
In the last meeting between the two sides, Bristol lost by just four goals in a close-fought encounter. Bristol ran out 37-33 winners over their Western rivals and will be hoping for a repeat of the fixture at the Indoor Sports Centre.
USW have tasted defeat just once at home in the Western 3B Divison this season, as they narrowly lost to Cardiff University Women’s 4th back in November.

The form books have Bristol as second, with just one defeat in their last six outings, suffering a shock defeat to Cardiff Universty Women’s 4th.
USW are close behind but have won just two games out of their last six, as they try to solidify their place in the Western 3B for a third consecutive season.
However, USW were victims of a 51-18 drubbing in the Western Conference Cup to the Western opposition, as the University of West England 1st flexed their superiority with a comprehensive victory.
Elsewhere in the Western 3B Division, the University of Winchester who are on a six-game unbeaten streak will host Cardiff University Women’s 5th, whilst Cardiff Metropolitan University 3rd will play Cardiff University Women’s 4th in an all-Cardiff affair.
