AUSTIN Scott’s USW side lost heavily to a dominant Bristol 3rd team and remain in the hunt for their elusive first win of the season.
After a poor start, Scott was keen to take positives from the game as he felt he had seen progress in the home side.
“We had good moments, struggled a little bit to keep up with the ball pace. When we lost the ball we struggled to get behind the ball, so they were able to break through the lines quickly.
“Other than that there were definitely positives to take, full pace was definitely higher than usual, we are also getting into the D more often. We just need to finish our chances.
“We were difficult to break down at times. It’s just making sure that having those moments of quality in the middle, when the teams have decent players and they can dribble through, making sure that we can break down play a little bit better, not just letting them carry the ball freely and giving them the opportunity to always be on the ball.”
USW will hope to gain their first win of the season at home to Cardiff University Women’s 4th next week.
